Programs and events for all ages
celebrating the wonder of nature and the richness of cultural diversity.
To register for one of the events below, click on the
button for the event you wish to attend. If the
button appears, you may click on it to be added to the waiting list for
that event and you will be contacted in the event of a cancellation.
For your convenience, you may also request a reservation by mail. Complete
and print the reservation form and mail with
payment to: Hidden Villa Community Programs, 26870 Moody Road, Los Altos
Hills, CA 94022. Please note your reservation is not complete until confirmation
has been received.
Unless otherwise noted in program description,
child rates apply to ages 2-12 and children UNDER 2 are free. Senior rate
applies to ages 60 and up. Must present valid student identification to
receive student discount. Rates stated as "per person" apply to both adults and children.
Advance reservations are required in most
cases due to limited program size. For up-to-date program information,

Cancellation policy:
50% refund if requested eight days or more before the event. No refunds
7 days or less prior to the event. Deposits for private weekend farm tours
are non-refundable.
Ongoing Programs
Weekend Farm Tours
Most weekends: 11:00 a.m. & 1:00 p.m., rain or shine
$7 per person.
Taste a root, come face to snout with a pig, and discover the connections
between sweaters and sheep on a guided tour of Hidden Villa's farm and educational
garden. Public and group tours available. Tours held rain or shine and last
approximately an hour and a half.
Reservations are HIGHLY recommended and require advance payment.
Contact Community programs for tour dates and availability. Online reservations
not available for weekend farm tours.
Birthday Parties for Kids
Saturdays and Sundays
$10 per person. Advance reservations required.
Celebrate with a private farm tour (30 people max.), reserved picnic tables
under the party tent and birthday invitations with a farm theme! Additional
options available.

Go Goats! Saturday, August 30, 8:30 am to 10:00 am Ever wanted to milk a goat, walk a goat around the farm, feed goats their afternoon meal, and learn groovy goat facts? Well, here is your chance. Join us for our newest animal program. Ages 6 and up. Location: Wolken Education Center $15.00 per Adult $15.00 per Child 
Sustainable Building Tour Sunday, August 31, 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm Adult program. Tour our sustainable buildings, featuring solar electric generation, rammed earth and strawbale construction, recycled materials and more. Includes resource information $10.00 per Person

Cow Wow! Saturday, September 6, 8:30 am to 10:30 am FOR AGES 5 AND UP. Rise early and milk the cow! Learn fun cow facts, proper milking techniques and how to make butter. Dress warmly. Space is limited - register early! Location: Wolken Education Center $15.00 per Adult $15.00 per Child 
Guided Meditation and Silent Hike (Fall Class) Sunday, September 7, 10:00am to 12:00pm Adult Program Mindfulness meditation helps you come alive to your surroundings in new ways. Join Mary Leigh Burke, a 15-year Zen meditation practitioner, for basic instruction in mindfulness meditation practice. The program continues with a silent hike, punctuated with simple awareness exercises to enhance your experience of the natural world at Hidden Villa. Join us, and see the fall season with new eyes. Space limited. Location: Duveneck House $15.00 per Person

Toddlers on the Farm Series Thursday, September 11, 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm For ages 1.5 to 3.5 and parents/caregivers. Bury your hands in sheep's wool, throw corn to the chickens, and more. Be prepared to get dirty! Offered rain or shine. Space is limited - register early!
NOTE: Infants allowed in backpacks or frontpacks. No strollers please. Rates are per person. The rate for 1 child and 1 adult is $60. Location: Kiosk by Main Parking Lot
This is a SERIES. Additional class dates are September 18 and 25. $30.00 per Person 
Gardening with Preschoolers Thursday, September 11, 3:00 to 4:30 In this new, three month series you will learn how to prepare garden beds, plant and care for vegetable seeds and seedlings and see the natural cycles of gardening at work! Series ends with harvesting and an opportunity to explore the connection between seed and table. This series is appropriate for children between 3 and 5 years old and their parent/caregiver. Partial and full scholarships are available. Please call for details. Location: Wolken Education Center and Garden
This is a 6 class SERIES. Additional class dates include Sept 25; Oct 2, 16, and 30; Nov 13. $90.00 per Person

Flower Gardening and Bouquets Saturday, September 13, 2:00 to 4:00 Ages 10 and up. Learn what it takes to grow and harvest organic cut-flowers. Join us for a field tour and discussion of basic growing techniques, irrigation needs, varieties that do well in our micro-climate, seed ordering, flower maintenance, and flower arrangement. Finish the class with a harvest and bouquet-making lesson, to take home a special arrangement made by you! Location: CSA Outdoor Kitchen $20.00 per Person

Manure to Meadow to MMMMmmm! SOLD OUT! Sunday, September 14, 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm For ages 6 and up. What do worms, cow manure, and alfalfa all have in common? Ice Cream! Come explore this unusual question on a farm wide scavenger hunt as we learn about the connections between farm, field, and dessert. We’ll use our new knowledge to make (and eat) some blackberry ice cream. Location: Wolken Education Center

Cheese Please! Saturday, September 27, 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm Learn how to make mozzarella and chevre cheese and finish with some tasty treats to eat!

Healing Herbs Sunday, September 28, 10:00 am to 1:00 pm For ages 15 and up. Learn how to identify and use common herbs for their healing properties. The program will begin with a hike to identify and collect the plant materials we'll be using. Location: Meet at the Wolken Education Center $15.00 per Adult $15.00 per Child

Halloween Haunts Friday, October 24, 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm For ages 4-12 and parents/caregivers. Travel our haunted trail, collecting treats and encountering weird and wacky characters along the way. At the end of your journey, enjoy hot cider, delicious goodies, and spook-tacularly fun stories and songs around the campfire. Halloween costumes encouraged!
Please note: You will be assigned a start time when you register. Times are assigned in the order they are comfirmed so register early! $16.00 per Adult $16.00 per Child
